Eco-friendly. No peeling. Does not yellow.
Eco-friendly. No peeling. Does not yellow.
If you can disconnect the bathtub drain pipe, the job takes about 2 hours.
Note: If you cannot disconnect the bathtub drain pipe, the working time may extend to 5–6 hours. For easier application in such cases, we recommend to use EKOPEL ROLL-ON TUB&TILE Coating.
Thanks to the pouring method, a thick, smooth layer is created, making the bathtub look like new. It forms a durable, impact-resistant coating.
The layer thickness is 0.5–0.7 mm at the edges of the bathtub and 4–5 mm at the bottom.
Only a single layer is needed for the renovation. One coat completely covers the old color and any irregularities on the surface. No primer is required.
If the classic pouring method of EKOPEL does not suit your needs and conditions, use EKOPEL ROLL-ON to renovate bathtubs, walls, and floors in the bathroom. EKOPEL ROLL-ON is applied using a foam paint roller.
Bathtub resurfacing in 2–3 hours.
Instead of 2 days’ work and 2–3 coats of ordinary paint: just 1 coat of EKOPEL.
Smooth, high-gloss finish — like new.
Resurface your shower tray instead of replacing it: with EKOPEL in around 2 hours.
Low odour, self-levelling, and it creates a smooth, high-gloss finish — like new.
In this video, you’ll see how EKOPEL can also be applied over a filled seam — creating a watertight, stable bond without silicone sealant, and reducing the risk of mould around the bathtub edge.
Be inspired by our customers' work – their bathtubs now look as good as new.
All our materials are designed for resurfacing old bathtubs, offering excellent adhesion, odourless application, and high impact resistance. The variety of our products is based on different renovation requirements:
We recommend removing the drain when using EKOPEL 2K CLASSIC, OPTIMUM, or GOLD. These materials are self-levelling and spread evenly across the bathtub. During application, approximately 200–300 g of excess material flows through the drain hole into a prepared container (e.g. a plastic cup or another vessel).
You can also use these materials without removing the drain, but this makes the process more complex and extends the renovation time. In this video, we demonstrate how it works.
If you're unsure whether you can apply the without-drain-removal method, we recommend using EKOPEL ROLL-ON, which is specifically designed for this situation.
The optimal room temperature for application is 21–23°C.
Before starting the renovation, the bathroom should be heated to this temperature at least 24 hours in advance and maintained for 1–2 days after application to ensure even distribution and proper curing of the material.
Additionally, the materials should be stored in a warm, dry place for at least 2 days before application. This ensures the correct viscosity and optimal workability.
Use mild, non-abrasive cleaning products suitable for bathtubs.
If the cleaning product is coloured, test it on a small, inconspicuous area before cleaning the entire bathtub.
After applying the cleaner, immediately lather it with a sponge and spread it evenly.
Do not dye hair in the bathtub, as the harsh chemicals in hair dye can damage the coating.
Avoid coloured bath additives such as bath bombs, as they may affect the surface.
